We specialize in creating decorative concrete for homes. Decorative concrete can offer great variety compared to the typical plain gray slab of concrete. We offer stained concrete, stamped concrete, salt-finish concrete, and aggregate concrete. These decorative concrete options can be used for your outdoor patio, your walkway, your driveway surface, and anywhere else you need the longevity of concrete.
Variations of Decorative Concrete
Stamped concrete is concrete that is patterned, textured or embossed to resemble other patterns or textures, such as brick, slate, stone, wood, etc. We commonly use stamped concrete for patios, driveways and pool decks, but we’re more than willing to use stamped concrete anywhere your heart desires. Stamped concrete is used as a money-saving alternative to some of the authentic materials such as stone, slate or bricks. Stamped concrete lasts for a long time, and though it can show wear and tear as time goes along, we are able to refresh the look of your concrete when you are ready.
Stained concrete comes in two categories, acid-based chemical stains and water-based acrylics. The pallet for acid-based stains is typically earth tones because of the nature of the acids. Water-based acrylics have a larger array of hues to use. Our experts can show you all the options that we have for you to choose from.
Salt-finish concrete is exactly what it sounds like. We expose the concrete to rock salt while the concrete is wet and then use a roller to smooth out the surface, imprinting the grains of salt into the surface. Once the concrete is set, we wash away the salts, leaving you with a beautiful speckled pattern of indentations.
Aggregate is the coarse, rock material used to add strength to composite materials such as concrete. Often, aggregate can look great around a swimming pool or patio, so how do we get the aggregate to show? We remove the outer surface of the concrete medium with a special process. The aggregate can be customized and then mixed into the concrete before it’s placed. Color can also be added into any concrete hardscape using acid stains, color hardeners, or integral color depending on the desired effect. Aggregate concrete is ideal for your sidewalks, driveways, and again anywhere your heart desires. Our design experts will work with the vision you have for your new hardscaping project.
